Private Group Tours in Morocco for Families, Friends and Teams

Quick answer

Private group tours in Morocco give your group its own vehicles, driver-guides and itinerary, with no strangers on board. They suit extended families, groups of friends, clubs and associations, and company incentive trips. Routes start from Marrakech, Fes, Casablanca or Tangier, typically include the Sahara dunes of Erg Chebbi with a camel trek and desert camp night, and are adjusted to the group's pace, budget and interests, with one coordinator from first message to departure.

Key facts

Overview

A private group tour means the whole trip is yours: the vehicles, the guides, the desert camp for the night, the pace. We organise Morocco itineraries for groups of 6 to 40 or more travellers who want to travel together without strangers in the van: extended families, groups of friends, clubs and associations, incentive trips and company retreats.

Routes are built from the same itineraries we run every week from Marrakech, Fes, Casablanca and Tangier, then adjusted for your group: more time in the medinas, a cooking class, a full camp reserved for you, or a slower pace for mixed ages.

Who this is for

  • Families and multi-generation groups (6–16 people)
  • Friends travelling together
  • Clubs, associations and photography or hiking groups
  • Companies: incentive trips, retreats and team events
  • Wedding and celebration trips

Highlights

  • Vehicles sized to the group: minivans up to 7, minibuses up to 17, coaches for larger groups (CONFIRM fleet)
  • Multilingual driver-guides: English, French, Spanish and Italian subject to availability
  • Desert camp reserved for your group when the size allows (CONFIRM camp capacity: 8 tents)
  • Group rates on riads, kasbah hotels and camps
  • One coordinator from first message to departure
  • Options: cooking class, private hammam, music evening, hot air balloon, quad session

How it works

  1. 1

    Tell us about the group

Dates, number of travellers, arrival airport, ages, mobility needs and what the group wants to see.

  2. 2

    Receive a day-by-day proposal

Within a few hours you get an itinerary with vehicle plan (minivans, minibus or coach depending on size), accommodation category and a total price per group.

  3. 3

    Adjust and confirm

Change stops, hotels or pace as often as needed. Once confirmed, one coordinator handles the whole trip and meets you on arrival.

What's included

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum group size for a private group tour?

Any size can travel privately; group rates generally start around 6 travellers. Below that, see our standard private tours.

Can a large group stay in one desert camp?

Our own camp has 8 tents (about 16 guests); larger groups are split between neighbouring camps or booked into a partner camp. We will tell you exactly where everyone sleeps.

Do you handle company and incentive trips?

Yes: itinerary, transport, accommodation and activities, with one invoice and one coordinator. Tell us budget per person and objectives.

How far in advance should a group book?

Three to six months for high season (spring, autumn, Christmas); earlier for groups above 20 or for specific riads.

Can the group start in one city and end in another?

Yes. Most groups fly into Casablanca or Marrakech and out of Fes or Marrakech; one-way routes avoid backtracking.

Who are private group tours in Morocco for?

A private group tour works whenever people want to travel together without joining a shared bus full of strangers. The trip is built around your group, so you decide how early to start, how long to stay in the souks and where to stop for photos.

Sample Morocco group tours and how they can be adapted

Group itineraries are built from the routes we run as private tours, then adjusted for your numbers and interests:

Typical adjustments include an extra night in the desert, more time in the medinas, a cooking class, a private hammam session, a music evening or a hot air balloon flight over the Agafay desert. On free days, part of the group can relax at the riad while others explore, each with its own vehicle if needed.

The desert night for groups

The night in the Erg Chebbi dunes is usually the moment groups remember most: a camel ride at sunset, dinner together, drumming around the fire and sunrise from the top of a dune. Tents are private, normally for two people, and each has its own bathroom and toilet. Depending on the size of the group, everyone can stay in our own camp, or the group is split between neighbouring camps or booked into a partner camp, which also offers air-conditioned tents. We tell you in advance exactly where everyone sleeps.

Camel rides depend on camel availability that day; if none are free, the group reaches the camp by 4x4 with a sunset stop on the dunes and rides camels the next morning. Read more in a night in a Merzouga desert camp.

Planning tips for Morocco group travel

  • Book early: three to six months ahead for spring, autumn and Christmas, and earlier for large groups or specific riads.
  • Fly in and out of different cities: many groups arrive in Casablanca or Marrakech and leave from Fes or Marrakech, avoiding backtracking.
  • Mixed ages: plan shorter driving legs and a rest afternoon; riads with pools help families in summer.
  • Room plan: send the room configuration early (couples, twins, families, singles) so accommodation can be matched.
  • Budget: lunches, drinks, tips and optional activities are usually extra; carry cash in dirhams (MAD), a closed currency.
  • Languages: driver-guides work in English, French, Spanish and Italian, with Spanish and Italian subject to availability; some speak a little German.

How to get a quote for your group

Send us your dates, the number of travellers, your arrival airport or port, the ages in the group, any mobility needs and what the group most wants to see. We reply with a day-by-day proposal including the vehicle plan, the accommodation category and a total price for the group. You can change stops, hotels or pace as often as needed before confirming, and one coordinator then handles the whole trip and meets you on arrival. Contact us on WhatsApp at +212 617 394 537, by email or through the form.

For company trips, include your budget per person, the objectives of the trip and any meetings or team activities you need, and we will build the itinerary around them with a single invoice for the whole group.

Frequently asked questions

Is a private group tour more expensive than a shared tour?

Per person, a private group tour is often closer to a shared tour than people expect, because the cost of vehicles and guides is divided among the group. The larger the group, the better the value. Send us your numbers and dates for an exact total price.

Can a group tour include travellers with limited mobility?

Yes, with planning. Tell us about mobility needs when you enquire so we can choose accommodation with easier access, limit walking in the medinas and plan shorter driving days. Some experiences, such as climbing dunes, may need alternatives, which we can suggest in advance.

Can we split a large group into smaller vehicles?

Yes. Groups travel in vehicles sized to their numbers, and larger groups can be split across several vehicles, each with its own driver-guide. This also makes it easy for part of the group to take a different excursion on a free day.

Can a private group tour be booked in the luxury category?

Yes. Groups can choose comfort or luxury accommodation. The luxury upgrade applies to hotels such as those in the Dadès Valley and to the desert camp; Merzouga itself only has comfortable, well-serviced hotels rather than a luxury category.

Can you organise a celebration or team event during the tour?

Yes. Birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and company team events can be built into the itinerary, for example a special dinner in a riad, a music evening at the desert camp, a cooking class or a sunrise balloon flight. Tell us the occasion when you request a proposal.
